About

PUPA Lab

Makers’ Space - PUPA is a rich learning environment for students/faculty to learn, perform, make and innovate. It has a wide variety of technologies like laser cutting/engraving and 3D printer. It also equipped with the advance prototyping components and instruments. The complete prototypes likely from data preparation to assembly can be fabricated entirely at PUPA.
We are educators who support students, faculty and community members to do better in the field. We believe that participants can learn to do anything, and we make the process of bringing ideas to life quick and easy. Our team consists of creative and technical faculty that share a passion for learning and engineering. We are open to Chitkara students and alumni, helps to bring a new generation of pioneers, inventors, and entrepreneurs up to speed on inventing the new innovative ideas

LARVA LAB

Larva lab provide hands-on, creative ways to encourage students to design, experiment, build and invent as they deeply engage in engineering. Larva lab contains elements found in familiar spaces as in mechanical or electronics lab. It is designed to accommodate a wide range of activities and tools. It contains following facilities-

  • Laser cutting machine
  • Mechanical and Electronics tools /equipments

success STORIESWHAT INVENTOR'S BUILT WITH US

  • Windshield Removal KitInventor's: Mr. Anshuman, Ms. Bhavika

The technology uses a simple chemical formula to create the device. It is a simple kit that can be used to remove a car windshield in very less time. This device not only eases out the work of replacement of the windshield but can also prove to be life-saving. A simple button press or rotation of a valve will loosen the windshield which will help to remove it with a lot of ease.
    Status: Completed Research Project

  • E-DeweederInventors: Dr. Nitin Saluja, Mr. Chanpreet Singh, Mrs. Payal Tanwar

E-Deweeder is a machine which destroy the weeds from the crop without the use of weedicides.
    Status: Completed Research Project

  • MOKSHInventor's: Mr. Varinder Singh, Dr. Nitin Saluja, Mr. Chanpreet Singh, Mr. Amrinder Singh, Ms. Apoorwa Haldiyan

MOKSH is a machine which converts crop residue to useful products in real time.
    Status: Completed Research Project

  • Smart Portable Intensive Care UnitInventor's: Dr. S.N Panda, Mr. Naveen Kumar, Mr. Rajesh Kaushal

It is a wireless unit, which work through internet based innovation outfitted with cloud based server to remotely monitor and diagnose a patient. With the framework the patient will be under the observation of specialist doctor through the smartphone/ tablet/ PC.
    Status: Completed Research Project

  • Soldering Iron PenInventor's: Mr. Shubham Malhotra

The present invention lies in developing a pen type soldering iron that is operated single handedly. The inventors has provided an inbuilt mechanism for solder wire feeding and then heating the solder wire. The molten solder is dispensed by the soldering iron in the required quantity. So the conventional problems of keeping solder wire in one hand and soldering iron in other and wire cutting are overcome by the inventors. The developed soldering iron is simple and easy to use mechanism.
    Status: Ongoing Research Project

  • LaundrocartInventor's: Mr. Lalit, Ms. Lavisha Mehandirata, Ms. Lavisha Rana

'Laundrocart' is based on RFID Technology. Each cloth will have a RFID tag on them. A trolley fitted with the RFID reader will be used. As the clothes are put in the trolley the number of clothes will be shown and that will be entered in an android application. Each tag will have the room number of the student stored in it which will be helpful for sorting after the washing is done.
